At S G Active Podiatry we exist to help people maximise their foot health and comfort, whether that is through expert assessment and management of muscular, soft tissue or joint pain when walking or in other activities, or by regular treatment of nails, callus or corns. Helping our patients understand the nature of their conditions and what they can do themselves to maximise their comfort in daily activity is at the centre of all we do.
Simon Gleich

Simon is the principal podiatrist at S G Active Podiatry.
He has well over 20 years experience of treating patients with complex foot and leg problems, and has been a clinical specialist and lead in biomechanics / musculoskeletal podiatry in the NHS for over 18 years.
He has particular specialty with patients with feet at increased risk, such as diabetic and rheumatoid conditions, providing protective and offloading orthoses (insoles) and education for maximising foot health. Sports injuries and foot / ankle pain in sport is another key skill. Simon is the sports podiatrist for Huddersfield Town Women’s Football Club, supporting the playing squad with assessment of injury, treatment, rehab / return to play, and pitch side first aid in training and match days.
Simon has significant experience with runners, golfers, and footballers amongst other sports people, and is highly skilled at fitting orthoses effectively in sports footwear – accelerating a return to activity.
