Christopher Liversidge (MSc, MCSP, SRP)
Christopher graduated from the University of Salford School of Health Sciences in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, having left the University of Birmingham in 1998 with a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences. During this time, he gained knowledge in the field of exercise physiology.
Subsequently, Christopher has worked with a variety of Musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries in his 9 year NHS career. During this time he has lead a team of staff in an Orthopaedic gymnasium, developing a wide range of joint and soft tissue mobilisation skills. In 2009 he graduated from the University of Bradford with an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Christopher is also a fully qualified Acupuncture practitioner and is registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
Andrew Laird (PGCert, BSc (Hons), MCSP, SRP)
Andrew graduated from Bradford University School of Health in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since graduating, Andrew has worked in the NHS as a Musculoskeletal practitioner, gaining varied experience in treating individuals with Musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, and over recent years has developed a special interest in working with individuals with long term and persistent pain.
Andrew has completed a Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) at the University of Bradford, and has additional post-graduate experience in other modalities including Acupuncture (registered with the AACP), taping and manual therapy techniques.
Clare Gascoyne (BSc (Hons), MCSP, SRP)
Clare qualified in 2003 from the University of Huddersfield with a 1st class honours degree in physiotherapy. Since then she has progressed her career at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in Musculoskeletal services. Alongside this she has also worked at the Huddersfield Nuffield hospital in orthopaedics and out-patient clinics.
Clare has a vast array of experience in treating spinal, upper and lower limb musculoskeletal disorders, is fully qualified in acupuncture and a member of the AACP. She also has a specialist interest in Pilates and she is a qualified Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). Currently Clare is working towards achieving a Masters degree in Physiotherapy.
Aideen Farrell (BSc (Hons))
Aideen Farrell, our Pilates instructor, graduated from Carlow Institute of Technology, Ireland, with an Honours degree in Human Physiology and Sports Rehabilitation in 2006. This education has given her an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, pathology of injury, exercise physiology and rehabilitation.
Following graduation, Aideen worked in a private sports injury practice in Ireland for two years and then moved to Brisbane, Australia where she worked as a Pilates instructor in a Physiotherapy and Pilates studio.
Whilst most of her Pilates training is in the STOTT method, working alongside clinicians from a variety of backgrounds enabled her to develop a unique blend of Pilates teaching skills. It is these skills that Aideen uses to the benefit of North Light Physiotherapy & Pilates clients.
Aideen is a member of British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) www.basrat.org and is a student member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). She is continuing her education at the University of Huddersfield, studying towards a post-graduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
