Introducing Huddersfield’s newest Pilates Classes
Pilates improves the endurance of the deepest layers of muscles around our joints that control movements at those joints and work to give us good posture. Additional benefits include: prevention of injury, minimising posture related pain, improving balance and coordination, enhancing athletic performance, toning of muscles and improvements in flexibility.
There is sound evidence-based research showing the stabilising effects on joints by activating deep postural muscles. Athletes from all sports are incorporating Pilates based training and rehabilitation into their routines. At high-level competition, it may give you the extra edge or it might be the ultimate saviour for that chronic back problem that keeps returning.
At North Light Physiotherapy, we aim to ensure that you get the most from your Pilates routine. For this reason, if you are a novice, we strongly recommend you arrange a one-off 1:1 session with our instructor to learn the bare essentials to bring to the class setting.
Please feel free to discuss any concerns or suggestions you may have with your instructor or physiotherapist. You should always feel refreshed and relaxed after your session, as we know exercise releases out natural happy hormones, Endorphins.
